Islamic Glazed Terracotta Oil Lamp Late Mameluke, ca. 1100-1300 AD. Wheel made. Slightly recessed round base with short sides, thick short stem through the middle supports a 4" diameter grooved and rounded shallow dish with sloped underside. In the middle of the dish is a stem with a rounded molding in the middle, a pinched three wicked reservoir atop. There is a strap handle from the dish rim to the top back of the reservoir. Rough green glazing throughout. Bottom of handle has been reinforced. Ex Harlan J. Berk, Ltd. BBS 137, 31 March 2004. Wieclaw Collection. H. 5" (12.7 cm).
