Daunian Askos ca. 5th Century BC. The bird form jug with single strap handle and short cylindrical spout, a small stylized tail at the opposite end. The round body in a cream color with both light and dark brown horizontal bands and details. Intact. Provenance: Private Collection, Oregon, acquired 1980s. H. 6.5" W. 7" D. 7" (H. 16.5 cm, W. 17.8 cm, D. 17.8 cm).
