Byzantine Bronze Cross, Cover of Reliquary ca. 9th-13th Century AD. Nicely incised with much decorative detail. Originally comprised of two cross shaped hinged sections joined together with the intention of holding a relic. Suspension loop, bottom hinges, and back cover now missing.
Mounted. L. 3" W. 2 1/4" (7.6 cm x 5.7 cm).
