The son of a painter, Comba was born in Nice in 1859. He is most well known for his watercolors and paintings depiction the “Alpine Troops”. He was authorized by the French Ministry of War to follow them as the official painter of the army. Comba also is well known for his watercolors done for the PLM Train Company in Nice.
