TRAIANVS DECIVS AVG Bust radiate, draped,

cuirassed right. Rx: ADVENTVS AVG Emperor

on horse pacing left, raising right hand and holding

transverse spear in left. RIC 1b (S). Cohen 6 (3 Fr.).

Rare early issue without C M Q in obverse legend:

only five specimens in Dorchester Hoard, compared

to 144 specimens of the same reverse type with the

longer obverse legend. EF

Draped bust right wearing stephane, with cres-

cent behind shoulders, later ridged coiffure. Rx:

FECVNDITAS AVGG Fecunditas standing left

extending right hand above child at her feet and

holding cornucopia. RIC 56 (S). Cohen 11 (C).

Scarce with AVGG not AVG on reverse: 11 speci-

mens in Dorchester hoard. Heavy specimen. EF
